How does the cash for cars process work?
It's simple: 1) Call us or fill out our online form with your vehicle details. 2) We provide an instant quote over the phone. 3) If you accept, we schedule a free pickup at your convenience. 4) Our driver inspects the vehicle, completes paperwork, and pays you cash on the spot. The entire process can be completed in as little as one hour.
What types of vehicles do you buy?
We buy all types of vehicles including cars, utes, vans, 4WDs, SUVs, trucks, buses, commercial vehicles, and even heavy machinery like forklifts and excavators. We purchase vehicles of all makes and models, regardless of age or condition.
Do you buy vehicles in any condition?
Yes! We buy vehicles in absolutely any condition: running or not running, damaged, accident-affected, flood-damaged, fire-damaged, rusted, with mechanical problems, with high mileage, unregistered, or simply old and unwanted. No vehicle is too far gone for us.
What areas do you service?
We provide Australia-wide service covering all capital cities and regional areas including Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Canberra, Darwin, and over 40 other cities. We also service rural and remote areas.
Pricing & Payment
How much will I get for my car?
We pay anywhere from $100 for older scrap vehicles up to $30,000 for late-model cars in good condition. The exact amount depends on factors like make, model, year, condition, and current market values. We always aim to offer the best price in your area.
How do you determine the price?
We consider multiple factors: the vehicle's make, model, and year; current mechanical condition; body condition and damage; mileage; current scrap metal prices; demand for parts from your vehicle type; and location for pickup.
Is the quoted price guaranteed?
Yes, the price we quote over the phone is guaranteed, provided the vehicle matches the description you've given us. We don't use bait-and-switch tactics. If the vehicle is as described, you'll receive exactly what was quoted.
How and when do I get paid?
We pay instantly at the time of pickup. You can choose cash payment or bank transfer. For cash payments, we bring the exact amount and hand it over once paperwork is complete. For bank transfers, funds are typically available within minutes.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees whatsoever. We don't charge for quotes, towing, paperwork, or any other service. The price we quote is the full amount you receive with no deductions.
Pickup & Towing
Is the pickup/towing really free?
Yes, pickup and towing are completely free regardless of your location or the vehicle's condition. Whether your car is in a suburban driveway, rural property, or underground parking garage, we collect it at no charge.
How soon can you pick up my vehicle?
We offer same-day pickup in most areas. If you call before noon, we can usually collect your vehicle the same day. For some regional areas, pickup may be scheduled for the following day. We work around your schedule.
What if my car doesn't run or has flat tires?
Not a problem at all. Our trucks are equipped to handle non-running vehicles. We can winch vehicles onto our flatbed regardless of whether they start, move, or have flat tires. We've collected cars that haven't moved in years.
Can you pick up from any location?
We pick up from virtually anywhere: homes, businesses, car parks, roadsides, farms, industrial sites, and more. If vehicle access is difficult, let us know in advance and we'll work out a solution.
Documentation & Requirements
What documents do I need to sell my car?
You'll need: 1) Proof of ownership (registration papers, even if expired). 2) Valid photo ID (driver's license or passport). 3) All keys you have for the vehicle. That's it! We handle all the transfer paperwork.
Can I sell a car without registration?
Yes, we buy unregistered vehicles. Whether your registration has expired or you've never registered the vehicle, we can still purchase it. You'll just need proof of ownership (old rego papers or receipt of purchase).
What if I've lost my registration papers?
We can often still proceed with other forms of proof of ownership. Contact us to discuss your situation. In some cases, we can help you obtain the necessary documentation or work with alternative proof.
Do I need to cancel my registration?
In most states, we handle the notification to transport authorities as part of our service. However, it's always good practice to also notify your state transport department yourself. We can advise on the specific requirements for your state.
Can I sell a car that's still under finance?
Potentially, but it depends on the situation. If you have equity in the vehicle (it's worth more than you owe), we can arrange payment to the finance company with the remainder going to you. Contact us to discuss your specific circumstances.
Specific Situations
Do you buy flood-damaged cars?
Yes, we specialize in flood-damaged vehicles. Australia experiences regular flooding and we understand how to value water-affected vehicles fairly. Whether it's minor water intrusion or complete submersion, we'll make you an offer.
Do you buy accident-damaged cars?
Absolutely. We buy vehicles with all types of accident damage: minor fender benders to severe collisions, whether repairable or write-offs. The extent of damage affects the price, but we buy them all.
Can I sell a company/fleet vehicle?
Yes, we regularly purchase fleet vehicles, company cars, and commercial vehicles. We can handle multiple vehicles at once and offer competitive fleet pricing. Contact us for a bulk quote.
Do you buy classic or vintage cars?
We do purchase older and classic vehicles, though we recommend ensuring you're getting fair value for genuinely collectible cars. We'll give you an honest assessment of whether we're the best buyer for your classic vehicle.
What about vehicles with personal belongings inside?
Please remove all personal items before pickup. We recommend thoroughly checking glove boxes, under seats, boot, and door pockets. Once the vehicle is removed, we can't guarantee return of any items left behind.
Environmental & Recycling
What happens to my car after you buy it?
Vehicles go through professional recycling: hazardous materials are safely removed; usable parts are salvaged for resale; metals are separated and sent to recycling facilities; and remaining materials are responsibly disposed of. Up to 95% of a car can be recycled.
Is your recycling process environmentally responsible?
Yes, we partner only with licensed, environmentally compliant recycling facilities. All fluids, batteries, and hazardous materials are properly captured and disposed of according to Australian environmental regulations.
Do you issue disposal certificates?
Yes, we provide documentation confirming the vehicle has been received for recycling/dismantling. This is useful for deregistration purposes and your own records.
